TEKON chemically bonds to the
surface of glass providing a diamond-like coating that resists scratching

TEKON products work with the natural structure and chemistry of a surface material, not against it. TEKON formulations vary depending upon the surface being protected. For example, silica materials like glass, tile and porcelain actually attract contaminants like a magnet because they contain an unbound oxygen molecule just looking for a contaminant to bind to. These materials require constant cleaning.
The TEKON formulation bonds carbon atoms to oxygen atoms making the surface highly relent to contaminants and fills the pores with a clear, co-polymer, making the surface smooth. A smooth repellent surface is much more difficult for contaminants to stick to. Even contaminants that may settle on the treated surface are easily wiped away!

Glass, stone metal and other architectural materials have microscopic pores
on the surface. These pores are collection points for contaminants like
water, dust, salt, mildew, bacteria, lime and other minerals. Constant
exposure to these contaminants-spots, stains, corrodes, and oxidizes the
surfaces destroying the new, natural look of the material. Once these
contaminants penetrate the surface pores, they are difficult to remove.
